历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，大澳是相连的九个澳之一，该网页所列的九澳是胭脂澳、沙白澳、浅澳、连花澳、鬼仔澳、贼澳、九连澳（即海龟湾）、石榴澳和大澳，大澳的范围最宽大，因而得名。[1]

1984年设大澳生产大队，1992年起设管理区，1999年改设村委会。[1]
