大澳村在镇的西南，到镇政府驻地3公里，占地9平方公里左右，分4个村民小组，人口1140多。靠海，集体收入主要来自海胆养殖；村民一部分养对虾、膏蟹，一部分到黄埠镇的鞋厂做工。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
据博雅地名网，1965年起归小漠公社，此前1960年在鹅埠公社名下，1959年在圆墩公社名下，1953年是鲘门区辖地，而最早的1952年，这里还从惠东县划出、编入海丰县四区。大澳大队建于1974年；1984年称大澳乡，1987年起是村民委员会，1989年改叫办事处，1998年又恢复村民委员会的名称。[1]
