江头村位于广东省惠州市博罗县园洲镇，是该镇下辖的行政村。村在平坦的平原上，其中一处岗岭比四周高，村民在岗岭的头上立村，起名岗头。后来村民图书写方便写成「江头」；1959年园洲划归博罗县管辖后，「岗」字被误写成「江」，发现时已无法更改，沿用至今。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

江头在新中国成立前属东莞第二区（石龙）下的菉兰乡，该乡在1954年转划东莞第六区（企石区）。1958年编入梁屋大队，1984年成为园洲区梁屋乡的一部分；1994年梁屋管理区撤销，分设江头、高头、白耀前三个管理区；1999年4月起为江头村民委员会。[2][3]
