马嘶村位于广东省惠州市博罗县园洲镇，是该镇下辖的行政村。据传，始祖陈子贵带着儿子陈墩实骑马云游，马头朝北渡过东江，来到东莞与博罗交界处停下，忽然四蹄扬起、长声嘶叫，似表示要在此定居，村名由此而来。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
马嘶在新中国成立前归东莞县文顺乡（今石龙）管。1949至1957年划在东莞第七区（企石区），1958年划入企石公社的上南大乡；博罗县于1959年3月接管，编入园洲人民公社。1961年同赤岗村合并成赤马乡，其后改称马嘶大队；1984年设乡；1987年3月起设管理区，直到1999年才成为马嘶村民委员会。[2][3]
文化[edit]
- 2024年3月，被命名为「2023年广东省卫生村」[3]
