城东社区在博罗县城东部，是罗阳街道辖下的城区社区，原称城东区社区，与西边的老城区相对而名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

新中国成立后，县城东部于1956年公社化，成为城镇公社的城东区；1960年称县城镇城东区社区；1979年起称罗阳镇城东区社区。2021年1月，城东区社区析分为8个社区居委会，即城东、曙光、华泓、向阳、富园、东山、崇文和罗兴。2022年9月，该社区被评为惠州市2022年度绿色社区。[1]
