历史沿革[edit]

光明在1958年立大队，1984年与江南、凌屋排两队合并，成凌屋排乡；1987年乡撤销后，光明单独成立管理区；1999年成为村民委员会。[1]

地名由来[edit]

合作化时，当地群众按取红色字眼的做法命名，取前途光明之意。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，光明村名列「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」之中。[1]
