历史沿革[edit]
独石于1958年建大队；1984年同田埔大队一起组成田独乡，乡在1987年撤销后另设独石管理区，1999年起为村民委员会。[1]
地名由来[edit]
相传村口原有座陡起的小山，山里露出一块孤零零的大石，村名由此而来。[1]
