历史沿革[edit]
新中国成立后，这里先后以光明乡（1949—1957年）、光明大队（1958—1983年）、光明乡（1983—1986年）为名；1986年改设村委会，1993年起叫光明管理区，1998年改定为现在的光明村民委员会。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
光明陈氏宗祠在村内雁鹰石，为纪念明代将领陈璘而建的中西合璧式祠堂，1939年中共翁源县委在此成立；2012年10月20日列为广东省第七批文物保护单位。[2]
