金星起初（1958年）并在房坑生产队里，随房坑大队、房坑乡而变；1987年才独立设管理区，1999年定为村民委员会。[1]
地名由来[edit]
合作化时按当时取名用红色字眼的做法定名，以年年丰收、稻田如金般发亮为寓意。[1]
