乐堂村在白土镇新思路旁，博雅地名网载有人口2853人，下设16个村民小组，耕地3400亩。2020年8月列入首批广东省「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村名单，品种为罗非鱼。[1]

据介绍，2009年村集体经济收入170万元；村里建立了党员联系村务、联系农户等制度，农业之外也发展二、三产业。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
村名在沿革中写作乐塘。1952年属高要第七区乐塘乡；1958年为金龙公社乐塘大队，次年入白土公社。1983年改乡，1987年设村委会，1989年改设管理区，1998年重设村委会。[1]
