长塘村在白土镇西北角，面积约10平方公里，博雅地名网载人口3225人，与莲塘镇察步村交界，距祈福新村较近。[1]

博雅地名网称它是白土镇最偏远的村委会，距市区20公里。村里山上种速生桉，水田种稻和花生，并养鱼、养鸭，塘基养猪。2019年9月列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1952年属高要县第七区长塘乡；1958年为金龙公社长塘大队，次年入白土公社。1983年改乡，1987年设村委会，1989年改设管理区，1998年重设村委会。[1]
