名称由来[edit]

博雅地名网的说法有两种：一是太平天国时期凌十八的部将何明科所部曾氏在此聚集军队、扎营，故名军屯；二是清末匪患重，乡人组织自卫，定名军屯。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1957年至1959年间为军屯高级社，设军屯管区；1960年起另有鹤垌、大坪、军屯三个大队，到1963年合并成军屯大队。1983年起叫军屯乡，1986年起叫军屯农村管理区，1999年起由军屯村民委员会管理。[1]
