龙塘村是吴川市樟铺镇下辖的行政村，位于鉴江西岸，辖11条自然村，全村总人口7570人，耕地近2180亩[1]。它离吴川市区约2.5公里，是樟铺镇离市区最近的村[2]。

历史沿革[edit]

1952年设龙塘行政村，属第三区（振文）；1957年为龙塘小乡，1958年为龙塘大队，1961年属樟铺小公社，1964年又单独设龙塘大队。1975年振文与樟铺分设公社，龙塘归樟铺公社；1983年改为龙塘乡委会，此后一直沿用龙塘之名[1]。

经济与社会[edit]

村民以种田为主，种水稻、蕃薯、甜玉米和花生[2]。村里有积尾、龙塘、西坡3所小学和樟铺二中，学生约1100人；11条自然村都通了硬底化道路，其中上龙塘、埇岭、新村、上西坡、高垌5村修成了硬底化环村路[2]。积尾村与长岐镇交界处筑有积尾坝，属吴川市的主要水利枢纽，坝上设一座600千瓦的小水电站[2]。2006年樟铺派出所在垭塘路口设了警务室[2]。

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，龙塘村被纳入「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」[1]。
