新联村是高州市谢鸡镇的行政村，由几个原有的乡联合而成，城乡分类属镇乡结合区。[1]
名称由来[edit]
村名取「新」与「联」，指由几个乡联合组建。新中国设立后，下水、保华、保黎、龙岗四地联合设乡，叫新联乡。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1961年四地分出，该村定名新联大队；1983年起称新联乡；新联农村管理区一名始于1986年；1999年改由村民委员会管理，至今未变。[1]
2021年12月，该村获广东省爱国卫生运动委员会授予的「2021年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
