车头村是吴川市樟铺镇下辖的行政村，位于鉴江南岸，隔江与化州市长岐镇相望，辖12条自然村，总人口4094人[1]。
历史沿革[edit]
1953年建制，当时属振文公社；1957年并入新成立的五和乡（同并的还有南巢、五和），1961年分出车头大队，1983年车头与五和又合并，1984年改称五和乡；1986年五和乡分为五和、车头两个管理区，1998年改称车头村民委员会，沿用至今[1]。
经济与社会[edit]
耕地少，但沿江有1000多亩滩涂，种水稻、蕃薯、香蕉、花生[2]。村里有沙美、车头2所小学，学生约500人[2]。过去村里只靠一条狭窄的江堤通行；沙美村村民为改善交通集资500多万元，于2005年建成一座长470余米、宽5米的沙美大桥，2007年又给桥装上路灯[2]。
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月，车头村被纳入「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」[1]。
