历史沿革[edit]
村名取自村委会驻地在绥江西岸。[1]这里自明嘉靖三十七年（1558年）起隶广宁县，1954年改隶四会县第四区；1957年成立黄田乡，1961年又分出黄田公社。此时称西岸大队；自1983年的西岸乡，经1986年的村委会、1987年的管理区，到1998年依据粤发〔1998〕14号文改设西岸村民委员会，名称延续至今。[1]
荣誉[edit]
荣誉方面：2022年1月，西岸被省乡村振兴局列为「2021年广东省乡村治理示范村」创建单位，2023年4月又在「2022年广东省乡村治理示范村」创建名单中；2026年1月获评「广东省第二批“百千万工程”典型村」。[1]
经济[edit]
村里出产竹笋、青瓜、茄子和桔子等，博雅地名网称西岸的桔子属国家地理标志保护产品。[1]
