长安村在恩平市圣堂镇西南面，靠近325国道和开阳高速的圣堂路口，下辖长安、塘皋、吉安、圣堂、水松塘、稳塘6个村民小组[1]。村史馆称这里是恩平早期农民运动的中心[1]，2023年10月建成的长安村史馆位于村口[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

村史馆的介绍追溯到宋朝：海公与兄长江公从阳江迁到进职岭，以养鸭、贩鸭谋生，后来分家，子孙分衍为歇马房和圣堂房[1]。长安村属圣堂房一支，约在1650年前后，海公后裔友定房的先祖御公自进职村迁出，另立长安村，至今300多年[1]。

现名长安村民委员会于1998年10月9日经恩平市人民政府批准设立；此前，这里1958年是长安大队，1984年是长安乡，1986年改为长安村，1989年又为管理区[2]。

地理环境[edit]

村地势平坦，坐西向东，隔路与大北、小北两个自然村相望，紧邻锦江[1]。博雅地名网记载，全村总户数783户，总人口3124人，总面积8870.25亩，耕地2890亩[2]；村史馆展示的户籍人口为3382人[1]，两处数字的统计时间都未注明。

文化[edit]

长安村史馆占地200平方米，展览共五部分，依次是前言、村史、农运、新农村建设和庞承运事迹[1]。馆中还讲到村民爱打篮球，1950年1月，长安、永兴两乡办过一场“支前杯”球赛；1981年，港澳同胞给村里捐了电视机和电子计算机各一台[1]。1999年，圣堂镇评长安村为“文明村”[1]。

据江门日报2023年的报道，圣堂镇把长安农会展览馆（村史馆）作为红色教育点，与党支部旧址和冯燊、禤荣两处故居串成参观线路[3]。该村曾进入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位」公布的名单[2]。

庞承运出身长安村贫农家庭，做过农会主席和乡长，后在沙湖长年驻点工作，村史馆称他为“焦裕禄式好干部”[1]。
