根竹头村是恩平市圣堂镇的行政村，村委会在圣东公路北段，离圣堂镇约1.2公里，东邻塘龙村，南与东成镇鹿经村委会相接，西靠锦江，下辖北闸、龙安、西社、东社、清水塘5个自然村[1]。

根竹头在1958年为大队，1984年为乡，1989年为管理区；1998年10月9日恩平市政府批准定名根竹头村民委员会[1]。
人口经济[edit]
全村998人、268户，面积1508亩，耕地1200亩[1]。博雅地名网所引的村情介绍写到，村里在325国道旁出租土地给工业园和纸厂，并发展了香蕉种植基地，规模430亩（该介绍未注明年份）[1]。
荣誉[edit]
