城郊村在江门市新会区会城街道的中心地带，是城乡结合部，辖7个村民小组，人口约2648人，耕地约700亩。因地处会城南郊而得名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明崇祯年间（1628至1644年），钟、梁、林、朱、谭等姓先人为避乱，从新宁（今台山）迁到这里立村，明清两代称「大墩」。民国时建华侨新村，西荷里、耀华坊等六乡统称「大墩六乡」，后又添新乡。民国时期到1951年，这里归城南乡；1952年底另设城郊乡；此后名称屡变，1958年称管理区，1961年称大队，1983年复称乡。[1]

经济[edit]

耕地中水稻约300亩、经济作物约400亩。集体经济以占地约300亩的村工业区为主，临街商铺出租为辅；村有商铺40多间，工业区内有企业30多家。[1]
