历史沿革[edit]
南宋咸淳十年（1274年）梁莱莘建村，旧属源清乡，以梁姓为主，另有李、林等姓。村口保留清光绪己亥年立的「东甲乡」石碑和一株400余年的古榕。「甲」是旧时编排户口的单位。[1]
经济[edit]
村土地由沙洲冲积而成，是新会柑的传统产区，清代柑橘曾列为贡品，现存柑田800余亩。农用地5142亩，人均0.62亩，花卉种植与水产养殖并举。村委会和各村民小组合计，年经济总收入约2000万元；工业区内有五金、电子、纺织等行业，另有陈皮展销街区。[1]
名胜古迹与民俗[edit]
现存梁氏祖祠、德志梁公祠、文武庙和冲口王母庙。沿东溪河的端午龙舟赛已有300余年，并保留派发「龙舟碗」的习俗。[1]
