历史沿革[edit]
村名本作「大峒」，指一大片田峒。明隆庆四年（1570年），余姓先人来此立村，初称大垌村，后改称大洞。民国属第一区深环乡，1959年为大洞大队，1986年称大洞村委会，1999年定名大洞村委会。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2019年村列入广东省「民主法治示范村」创建单位；2022年10月被认定为广东省「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村（新会柑）；2026年1月获评广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村。[1]
农房改造[edit]
新会区人民政府2025年2月的报道介绍了村里的农房微改造：逐户摸排房屋隐患、建立一户一档，累计改造危破房4户，收集建筑余料20吨。村集体回收村民的建房余料，统一用于公共区域美化和危房修缮，投入由政府、集体和村民三方分担。村里还把闲置宅基地建成小花园、小果园，把旧队址改造为陈皮仓储与展示馆。[2]
