历史沿革[edit]
相传南宋咸淳年间已有谭姓先人在此居住，后多个姓氏陆续迁入。旧称「谭涌」，后谭姓迁出，改称潭冲。村原属七堡镇，2002年冲沥、四里等6个村委会合并，成立潭冲村委会，现属会城街道。[1]
经济[edit]
村原是西江入海口的孤岛，1995年七堡大桥建成后不再封闭，并依桥设了经济开发区。2002年村委会成立后，经协调征地引进李锦记集团生产基地。村内以食品加工、五金制造、家具生产为主，聚集百余家企业。2023年起，村属江门市革命老区振兴发展政策的适用范围，并与茶坑村结对。[1]
