历史沿革[edit]
相传明万历年间，钟姓先人从莱苏（今属鹤山市）迁来立村；后来钟怀仁、钟怀义兄弟又分别建了紫水、紫源两村，村名各取兄弟二人名字中的一字。此处旧称沙头、沙堤，沙堤河从村旁流过，明清时属县城的礼义坊，民国时设仁义乡。[1]
经济[edit]
村有耕地435亩、山林用地780亩，耕地多在石涧。村里以工业为主，重点建设仁义和石柱山两个工业集聚点，另有一条经营古典家具的街。2019年，村列入广东省「民主法治示范村」创建单位。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
村内紫华路东侧的坡地上有金牛山华侨义冢，墓冢呈半圆形，以红砖作碑，碑上不刻墓主的真名。[1]
