历史沿革[edit]
刘姓先人在明正德年间（1506至1521年）自今大泽镇沙冲迁来立村。村北的小梅山上种满梅树，村子起初就叫小梅村。1951年底改称河北乡，其后历经管理区、大队等名称，1992年并入会城镇，1999年定名河北村委会。[1]
经济[edit]
博雅地名网转载的介绍称，村民在近千亩的基地上种植水菜、菜心、生菜等蔬菜，冬季盖膜、夏秋遮光，一年种四造，村被新会区政府命名为蔬菜生产专业村。[1]
