历史沿革[edit]
村旁有河涌注入江门水道，入口形如鸟嘴，旧称「江嘴」，后来「嘴」被写成俗体的「咀」，村名由此而来。[1]
经济[edit]
江会路商业走廊和龙湾高速出入口夹着这个村，南边是江中高速。村集体收入以土地、铺位和厂房出租为主；近年因城市建设和高速公路扩建，集体土地多次被征收，2024年又有新的征地公告。[1]
社会事业[edit]
村里实行教育费用报销、老人补贴和村民分红等福利，扩建了江咀小学教学楼，建有村民公寓，并把高速桥底改成便民停车场。2020年起推行积分制管理人居环境，2022年列入广东省乡村治理示范村创建单位。[1]
