菱东社区为江门市新会区会城街道所辖的社区，位于城区东部，面积1.08平方千米，常住人口约1.47万人（4729户）。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

社区的前身是1950年设立的东北办事处，此后依次改称第五街坊办事处（1954年）、菱东管理区（1960年）、向东管理区（1978年）；1979年6月恢复菱东管理区之名，1995年6月称菱东街道办事处，2002年4月定名为菱东社区居委会，沿用至今。[1]

社区概况[edit]

辖区分6个居民小组，有10条大街、51条内巷，设有党群服务中心、警务室和养老服务站。社区曾获「全国社区读书活动先进单位」「广东省文明社区」等称号，2022年12月被确定为江门市第二批绿色社区。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

辖区内保存有明代的菱东石戏台。[1]
