麦村是杏坛镇的行政村，在镇中心城区西面2公里，占地7.83平方千米，30个村民小组，户籍人口8828人[1]。元初麦姓人迁入垦荒，元末称大麦，明景泰三年（1452年）顺德立县时改称麦村[1]。清代诗人梁九图原籍于此[2]。

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网转录的资料，宋末元初已有人居住，再后1950年属龙渚乡，接着1952年成立麦村乡，随后1958年改称大队，其后1998年改称麦村村委会[1]。

经济[edit]

麦村2020至2022年连续入选淘宝村名单，之后2019年9月又进入「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」名单[1]。

名胜古迹[edit]

麦村秘书家庙在麦南大道6号，清乾隆十四年（1759年）建，光绪二十六年（1900年）重修，祀麦明远[1]。资政大夫梁公祠建于咸丰九年（1859年），地址为东北大道58号，其回字形梁架在顺德少见[3]。
