光辉村是杏坛镇的行政村，在镇中心城区东南2.5公里，占地1.93平方千米，10个村民小组，户籍人口2696人[1]。取“日出于东，东乃光明之起点”之意定名[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网转录的资料，其后1950年属高辉乡，之后1952年属和平乡，再后1958年成立光辉大队，接着1983年称乡，随后1987年称村，其后1989年改称管理区，之后1999年定名光辉村委会[1]。2019年9月，光辉村进入「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」名单[1]。
