许厝村是汕头市澄海区莲下镇中部的行政村，国道324线穿村而过。约1259年（南宋开庆年间），福建莆田的许姓迁到这里，村名由许姓居多而来。[1][2]村内许氏家庙始建于明嘉靖年间；峰华国乐社创办于光绪年间，是澄海现存历史最久的汉剧音乐团体。[2]
历史沿革[edit]
1938年与李厝宫合称敦睦乡，1949年12月与建阳、李厝宫合称建睦乡，1952年与李厝宫、神州合称建华乡，1956年并入槐泽乡，1958年编入105团，1959年起独立设村。[2]
人口姓氏[edit]
村域0.53平方千米，耕地580亩。2009年底663户2702人，有许、吴、朱、刘、郭等9姓，许为主姓。[2]
经济[edit]
许厝居莲阳集市中心，村民多做小商业和手工业，清代中期商贸已颇兴旺；农贸市场建于1987年，村内企业以商贸服务为主。[2]
名胜古迹[edit]
许氏家庙为明嘉靖年间许尚静所建，清代扩建，占地2.8亩，有人物浮雕。敕书楼建于清康熙十一年（1672年），是澄海唯一的皇封楼府，1968年被拆。村中另有荣禄第。[2]
著名人物[edit]
村中出过许坦翁（明进士）、许尚静（南昌府同知）、许龙（清广东水师右都督），近代教师兼诗人许伟余也是许厝人，据博雅地名网莲下镇页，他与侯节、吴贯因被称为澄海“三才子”。[2][3]
