银溪村是汕头市澄海区莲下镇西北部的行政村，安澄公路南侧。古与云二、云一同称云溪，相传约1573年（明万历年间），福建莆田的钟、温两姓先后迁来，村落四面环溪，取名云溪。[1][2]1993年被省民政厅确认为老区村。[2]
历史沿革[edit]
银溪原为云溪一房社，因村前有灵韩寺，又称寺后。1961年设银溪生产大队，1984年同云一、云二并为银云乡，1987年后各自设村。[2]
人口姓氏[edit]
村域0.35平方千米，耕地244亩。2009年底172户722人，有温、钟2姓，温为主姓。[2]
文化教育[edit]
1926年创办萃英学校，1962年起银云三村共办银溪小学，1985年三村侨胞集资另建银云华侨学校。村前的灵韩寺由明万历年间的僧人韩阳所建，乾隆年间（约1764年）重修，后更名天莲堂。[2]
1945年，后来官至省物资厅副厅长的乡人温锐芝在村里设了一处地下联络站，1946年建地下民兵组织。[2]
