槐南村是汕头市澄海区莲下镇中部的行政村，国道324线穿村而过。北宋末年（约1125年）福建莆田王姓迁来，初称下王，1993年自德邻管理区分出，因王姓以“植槐”自居并取始祖王开南的“南”字而名槐南。[1][2]莲南商贸城在村内。[2]
历史沿革[edit]
1938年下王与坟埕、洲头并为德邻乡；1958年称104团；1993年7月德邻管理区一分为二，立德与槐南各设管理区，其后成村。[2]
人口姓氏[edit]
村域0.8平方千米，耕地580亩。2009年底1167户5230人，有王、黄、刘、沈等10姓，王为主姓。[2]
经济[edit]
1918至1938年金纸业兴盛，1979至1981年抽纱业最盛。莲南商贸城1995年投资1500万元建成，占地30亩，有铺间408间，是澄海十大专业市场之一。村内企业有金奇集团（莲下镇第二大企业集团）、光华彩印厂等，做南金印刷、塑料玩具、工艺和腌制。清代至民国时乡人开设国药店9家，达生堂创办于1840年。[2]
名胜古迹[edit]
村里保存有王氏会馆广德堂、下王大宗祠敦伦堂和次东祖祠等古建筑，另有宋代衣冠墓一座。清嘉庆年间的武进士王飞鹏出自此村。[2]
