沟南村是广东省汕头市潮阳区谷饶镇的行政村，位于镇西北部约3.5公里处，属半山区。清顺治年间（1644年至1661年），罗姓祖先到此建村。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网所载，清顺治年间罗姓祖先从江西豫章迁到福建绍安，再从云霄迁入此地，起名沟南村；村名缘于村处大坑沟之南。[1]上世纪70年代，鲤鱼坡水库曾出险，全村因此向西迁出1公里，在油甘龙另建沟南新村。[1][2]此后名称几经更替，1999年起沿用现名。[1]

人口与经济[edit]

该页所载，全村376户、2089人，姓罗，耕地583亩，山地1020亩，种水稻、甘薯、香蕉、橄榄。[2]村民引进耳机加工，有2家较大的耳机企业和20多家作坊。[2]沟南小学占地扩大到3000多平方米，村里引湖仔水库的水供各户使用。[2]
