仙波是广东省汕头市潮阳区谷饶镇的一个社区，位于镇中部、小北山南侧，原称仙陂村、新坡村，2003年更名仙波居委。[1][2]据载宋嘉定年间（1208年至1224年）创村，辖区内有宋大元帅墓园和金峰岩，是有名的侨乡。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网所载，宋嘉定年间（1208年至1224年），祖先从仙地村引水，沿山开渠筑陂，村因此叫仙陂（仙波）；在破除迷信的年代曾改名新坡村，2003年又恢复仙波之名，称居委。[1][2]该页载，广东省考古队于2009年在厦深铁路经过仙波的路段发现2处人类遗址，出土文物29件，存放于省、市博物馆，经考证，仙波一带在商周石器时期已有人居住。[2]

地理与人口[edit]

仙波旅泰华侨及港澳台同胞有1万多人。[2]1983年，刘秋营、刘俊耀等100多位侨胞集资兴建新坡自来水厂；旅泰侨胞刘荣坤捐资兴建新坡中学校舍。[2]近年来企业和家庭作坊增至300多家，行业包括洗染、针织、电脑刺绣、经编织布和电子耳机，产品以文胸、内衣、内裤、耳机配件为主，并引进汕头市骏荣纺织有限公司、汕头市荣杰实业有限公司两家较大企业。[2]

2019年9月，仙波社区列入「广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位（2018年度）名单。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

辖区内有宋大元帅墓园和金峰岩两处景点。[2]1952年，仙波的一件金漆木雕“神亭”被送往北京的博物馆展出。[2]
