新红村是汕头市潮阳区关埠镇的行政村，处在榕江南岸偏北的山区，由旧赤水村分出。[1][2]

名称与历史[edit]

据村简介，明洪武年间（1368年至1398年）建村，因村境山坑的水常带红色，得名赤水，后来集德、新红分为两个聚落；村名另有“又新又红”的寓意。[1][2]1958年公社化时为新红大队，1986年改村委会，1988年改管理区，1999年再定名村民委员会。[1]

村情[edit]

全村260户、1302人，分甜薯下、老厝、五间过、寨仔围、公路顶五个片区，耕地295亩、山地325亩，面积0.68平方千米，主种水稻和甘薯，山地种香蕉、荔枝、杨桃等。简介未注明年份。入选2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位（2019年9月公布名单）。[1][2]
