新红村是德庆县凤村镇的行政村，位于九龙地区西部，总人口1877人，分10个村民小组，土地约12.8平方公里，距圩镇7公里。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
初级社时期，当地人取“又新又红”之意，定名新红。[1]1949年隶属德城镇的双郭乡；1958年4月并进凤村乡，当年10月成了凤村公社的新红大队。其后1983年9月起叫新红乡，管理区阶段始于1987年1月，村民委员会则在1998年10月取代了管理区。[1]
经济[edit]
村在象牙山背和中坑水库库区内，山多田少，素有种巴戟、肉桂的习惯，中坑村有“巴戟村”之称，形成山下种稻、山腰种果、山上种巴戟和肉桂的格局；所辖罗格背村为省级卫生村。[1]
