村子建于元泰定年间（1324年至1327年），先人林梅枝从谷饶迁来。^[1]1958年公社化时为巷口大队，1984年与宅美、庄厝合并称巷口乡，1986年称村委会，1988年分拆，1999年起称村民委员会。^[1]

据村简介，村域约2平方千米，589户、2767人，水稻面积380亩，村民多外出务工或做小生意。简介未注明年份。^[1]
