港底社区在汕头市潮阳区关埠镇，是镇里四个居民区之一，村名来自通济港深处的位置。^[1]^[2]

名称与历史[edit]

相传这里建村于南宋末年，祥兴年间（1278年至1279年）曹氏先人自福建迁来。^[1]旧日有一条内港从西面流入，经绵远、福仓出海，村子在港内最深处，所以叫港底。^[2]1958年公社化时为港底大队，1984年改设港底乡，1986年称村委会，1999年改称居委会。^[1]

港底地势低洼，过去咸水泛滥、田园常受淹，有“十年三灾”的说法；西来的淡水溪能排咸，大坑口流出的山泉可灌溉。^[2]社区简介称，当时有耕地1017亩、山地2191亩，一千多户、五千多人，村民从单纯务农转向经商、服务、运输和建筑等行业，并建了综合市场、老人活动中心和农家书屋。简介未注明年份。^[2]
