东湖村是汕头市潮阳区关埠镇的行政村，在榕江南岸，因村东有湖沼而得名。^[1]

名称与历史[edit]

明天顺年间（1457年至1464年）先人到此创村，起名东湖村。^[1]1958年公社化时为东湖大队，1984年改设东湖乡，1986年改村委会，1988年改管理区，1999年再定名村民委员会。^[1]

据村简介，全村七百多户、三千多人，耕地757亩，主种水稻、香蕉、生柑和蔬菜，兼营运输、建筑、手工、养殖和捕鱼。简介未注明年份。入选2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位（2019年9月公布名单）。^[1]
