历史沿革[edit]

红星一带1951年为红星乡，此后历经大队、乡政府、管理区几次改名，1998年定为村委会。[1]

经济[edit]

辖果园、西岸、坝厂3个村民小组，约406户、850人，村域约5平方千米。收入主要来自物业的出租与管理；1994年村里在韶关市较早试行股份制，1996年创办当地首家农村集团公司，村集体2010年的纯收入已过千万元。[1]

2009年1月，红星村列入第二届全国文明村镇名单。[1]
