高禾村在行政区划上属从化区鳌头镇，是该镇的一个行政村，村委会设在镇域东部。[1] 全村面积约2平方公里，村民小组共16个，村委会介绍的总人口为1750人（该介绍未注明年份）。村距从化城区约10公里，距鳌头镇中心镇区约12公里。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
据博雅地名网，高禾大队建立于1958年，1963年与铺锦大队合并为锦禾大队，1980年分开后恢复高禾大队的名称；1983年12月两地再度合并，改设锦禾乡；1987年1月分出后，改名高禾村民委员会，此名沿用到现在。[1]
村名取自驻地高禾塘。[1]

从化区人民政府于2015年发布的文化遗产普查推荐名单（历史建筑与传统风貌建筑线索）中，列有本村的李氏民居群、李氏宗祠、震贪楼，共3处。名单所列只是普查线索，不等于已定级的文物。[2]
