新兔村是广州市从化区鳌头镇下辖的行政村，村委会设在镇域中部。[1] 全村面积约3平方公里，村民小组共19个，村委会介绍的总人口为2530人（该介绍未注明年份）。村距从化城区约20公里，距鳌头镇中心镇区约0.5公里。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，1958年成立白兔大队时，因辖区较大，经上级批准一分为二，其中之一为新兔大队；1983年12月归入白兔乡，1987年1月分设，称新兔村民委员会，沿用至今。[1]

村名「新兔」，是因为这里的大队从白兔大队分出，属新设的一个。[1]

荣誉与名单

  • 2021年12月，新兔村获「2021年广东省卫生村」荣誉称号（广东省爱卫会）。[1]
  • 2023年8月，新兔村获评「2022年度“广州市美丽乡村”」称号。[1]
  • 2024年11月，新兔村被认定为「2024年广州市充分就业社区（村）」。[1]
  • 2026年1月，新兔村被认定为「2025年广州市高质量充分就业街镇社区（村）」。[1]

村里的农业格局为：山地栽种，水田种水稻、蔬菜和花生等。[1] 村集体经济方面，村集体增收靠引进的竹冚鸽场项目、荣安鸽场项目、竹冚猪场项目、水埔联社山塘猪场项目和利新山塘猪场等五个项目。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

镇区的马岭森林公园背靠高椅山，西临省道355线，周边聚集的自然村落中有新兔村。公园林地面积337.84亩，现存奎山古庙一座，园中还有一处国民革命军第74军抗日将士长眠的红色遗迹。[2]
