历史沿革[edit]

鳌头社区的前身是人和社区居民委员会，后来更名为鳌头社区居民委员会，一直使用到现在。[1]

关于「鳌头」二字的由来，博雅地名网转述的说法是：此地原名牛头，清同治年间牛头与龙潭、人和、旗杆、梯面等地在牛头圩办赛诗会，牛头夺魁，方言中牛头与鳌头音近，遂改名鳌头。[1]

荣誉与名单

  • 2019年9月，鳌头社区列入「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」名单。[1]
  • 2024年11月，鳌头社区被认定为「2024年广州市充分就业社区（村）」。[1]
