新庄村是狮岭镇下辖的行政村，在镇的东北部，与花山镇紫西村相邻，面积1.9平方公里，下辖10个村民小组。1786年，花山紫泥庄的一部分村民迁来新建村落，村名由此而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1958年，新庄、新南、新建三个高级社合编成一个大队，取名新庄。1987年1月设立新庄村委会，起初归芙蓉嶂区公所管，3月起改归芙蓉镇政府；2005年2月起，按粤民区〔2005〕10号文办理，改由狮岭镇管辖。[1]

人口民族[edit]

芙蓉大道纵穿村境。村里有轻工业，落户企业24家，村民的收入来自个体经营和土地分红。[1]

新庄村连续三年（2020至2022年）列入「淘宝村」名单。[1]2021年12月获「2021年广东省卫生村」称号；2019年9月列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单；2024年11月获认定为「2024年广州市充分就业社区」；2025年6月获认定为「2024年度广州市级美丽乡村」；2026年1月入选「广东省第二批百千万工程典型村」。[1]
