马岭村是狮岭镇下辖的行政村，在镇的西部，辖区面积4.26平方公里，有6个经济社、10个自然村。村名据说与附近形如马头的小山丘有关。^[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1958年，马岭、联星两个高级社合并成马岭大队，次年又分开。1987年1月设立马岭村委会，起初归狮岭区公所管，3月起改归狮岭镇政府。^[1]

常住人口约3100人，930多户（该页未注明年份），主要姓氏有黄、王、杨、谢、李、冯、邓、宋等。^[1]

辖区耕地547亩，其中水田386亩。村里的经济以工业和农业为主，村民收入来自加工手工业和小五金等。山前旅游大道在村北经过。^[1]

马岭村连续三年（2020至2022年）列入「淘宝村」名单。^[1]2021年9月，列入第二批广东省「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村（休闲农业）；2023年11月入选广东「百千万工程」首批典型县镇村；2024年4月进入「广东省第一批乡村振兴示范村」创建名单。^[1]
