历史沿革[edit]
抗日战争以前，这里叫栋企岭，因地势挺拔而得名，岭上有亭，岭下有庙。1933年，当地华侨、乡绅等集资建圩，「企」与「旗」谐音，改称旗岭。[1]
1987年1月起归芙蓉嶂区公所，3月改归芙蓉镇政府；2005年2月区划调整，转由狮岭镇管理。居委会原在旗岭大街52号办公，后迁到新民路滨河园。[1]
文化[edit]
2024年11月，旗岭社区获认定为「2024年广州市充分就业社区」。[1]
