新扬村是狮岭镇下辖的行政村，在镇的中北部，辖16个自然村，面积5.98平方公里。村名取自辖新、新塘、扬塘等4个高级农业生产合作社中的「新」「扬」二字。^[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1958年这4社并成一个大队，1962年又并进爱群大队。1987年1月设立新扬村委会，起初归芙蓉嶂区公所管，3月起改归芙蓉镇政府；2005年2月起，按粤民区〔2005〕10号文办理，改由狮岭镇管辖。^[1]

户籍人口3619人、1020户（该页未注明年份），主要姓氏有罗、温、张、潘、李、朱等。^[1]

金狮大道贯穿新扬新村。经济以手袋加工为主，本村个体户与企业共近300家，另有外来企业约120家。^[1]

新扬村连续三年（2020至2022年）列入「淘宝村」名单。^[1]2024年11月获认定为「2024年广州市充分就业社区」。^[1]
