历史沿革[edit]
1958年，新庄、新南、新建三个高级社合编成一个大队，取名新庄。1987年1月设立新庄村委会，起初归芙蓉嶂区公所管，3月起改归芙蓉镇政府；2005年2月起，按粤民区〔2005〕10号文办理，改由狮岭镇管辖。[1]

芙蓉大道纵穿村境。村里有轻工业，落户企业24家，村民的收入来自个体经营和土地分红。[1]
