竹洞村在赤坭镇的北部（一说中部），面积约4.79平方千米，下辖10个村民小组，约1680人（博雅地名网，未注明年份）。因村中盛产竹子，山沟狭长如洞，故名竹洞。[1]村子相传是洪拳创始人洪熙官的故里。[2][3]

历史沿革[edit]

据百度百科，清康熙三十年（1691年）由邝宗志开基建村。[2]竹洞大队的前身是蓝珠、竹洞两个大队（1950至1965年分设），1965年并为一个；1986年改为竹洞村委会，1987年3月起归赤坭镇人民政府管辖；2016年1月5日村委会迁至竹洞小学南侧。[1]

文化[edit]

村内洪拳已列入广东省省级非物质文化遗产名录。近年复建了洪熙官故居，修建了洪熙官武术文化广场和纪念馆，并成立醒狮队和洪拳培训基地。[2][3]

名胜古迹[edit]

竹洞湖由上世纪80年代采矿遗留的约300亩矿坑改造而成，环湖绿道长2.2公里。[2][3]

经济[edit]

村里用于种植盆景的土地超过5000亩，一年产值8300多万元。[2]

  • 广东省首批“一村一品、一镇一业”专业村，产业为盆景苗木（2020年8月公布）。[1]
  • 2020年，入选“广州最美村庄”。[4]
  • 第三批全国乡村治理示范村（2023年11月认定）；同月被列为“百千万工程”首批典型县镇村之一。[1]
  • 入选全国首批十个乡村旅游目的地名单。[5]
