历史沿革[edit]
麻坑的建制沿革：1958年设为大队，1983年设乡政府，1987年改设村委会，1989年称管理区，1998年恢复村委会，沿用至今。[1]
经济[edit]
村小组有13个，如竹洞、新屋队、麻坑水、白石洞、樟木桥、坑背等。村民以种稻为主，兼营毛竹和禽畜养殖。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
旧址所在的中山书院建于清代，民国年间是乡公所，现存建筑两层、四个房间，用泥砖和瓦木筑成，占地111平方米；它在2022年7月列入省级文物保护单位的第十批名单，也在第二批革命文物名录之中。[2]
荣誉[edit]
麻坑村名列第一批国家森林乡村（2019年12月公布），2026年3月又被认定为广东省第三批「百千万工程」典型村镇。[1]
