竹洞村是肇庆市高要区金利镇西南部的行政村，离镇城区约6公里，面积约4.9平方千米，下辖4个村民小组，博雅地名网载总人口834人。[1]
经济[edit]
村子背靠高山，经镇级公路通高明和镇城区。村里发展林业，集体办有一个轮窑砖厂，另有电镀厂和五金加工厂；农业种植优质稻、蔬菜和西瓜、香瓜，养殖四大家鱼。[1]
2019年9月，竹洞村列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建名单。[1]
沿革[edit]
新中国成立前隶高要县十区的清平乡。1952年，要古、罗客、竹洞三村联合设古竹乡；1958年竹洞自立大队，归金星公社。1968年三队复并为古竹大队，1974年又拆为三个大队，1983年再合为古竹乡。[1]
1987年撤乡，分设三要、罗客、竹洞村委会；1998年定名竹洞村民委员会。[1]
